My device is online. Why do controls need attention?
Online describes connectivity. Protection also depends on permissions, startup and running services. Check the device’s protection status and diagnostics, then contact us with the product and version.
A pairing code no longer works.
Pairing codes expire. Use the code currently displayed in the child app, stay connected, and retry with the same parent account. Contact us if the device appears paired but is missing from your account.
What if my child device is offline?
The dashboard may show old information until the device reconnects. Saved rules and schedules are applied locally where the child app is running, but new remote commands need a connection.
I have an unexpected charge.
Send the receipt’s merchant, transaction date, product name and order reference, with payment details hidden. The current teacher trial does not create an automatic charge. We cannot identify the payment from the app name alone.
The website form did not send my message.
The contact page prepares an email draft rather than forwarding mail. Press Send in your email app, or copy the draft into webmail. You can also email contact@thelayersapp.com directly.
Are Mac apps still available?
No. Layers Mac is discontinued. Use the web dashboard in a compatible browser to manage supported Windows and Android child devices.
